Can I use this PTT switch with my studio condenser microphone?

Absolutely. The MMX-2 is fully compatible with condenser microphones. It is designed to pass through 48V phantom power from your interface to the mic, ensuring your professional studio gear receives the necessary power to operate perfectly.

Will this switch work with dynamic mics like the Shure SM7B?

Yes. It works perfectly with dynamic microphones. While dynamic mics don't need phantom power for audio, you will still need to turn on 48V power on your interface if you want the green LED status ring to light up while you speak.

Why does the LED indicator not light up on my MMX-2?

The LED ring requires 48V phantom power from your mixer or interface to function. Please ensure phantom power is engaged. Note that the PTT switch and audio signal will still work without power; only the visual LED indicator will stay off.

I hear a "pop" or faint sound when muted.

At extreme high gain levels (above 50dB), physical switches may produce minor artifacts. For best results, we recommend setting optimal gain levels on your interface.
